- Postdoctoral Scholar - Stanford Human Trafficking Data Lab
Description
The Stanford Human Trafficking Data Lab is accepting applications for a postdoctoral fellowship position to contribute to the Lab’s portfolio of projects focused on counter-trafficking research and the development of a comprehensive framework for interagency trafficking survivor case management and monitoring, as well as digital tools to speed the delivery of post-trafficking services for survivors of human trafficking in Brazil.
The position is open to recent graduates of PhD programs in the social sciences, including economics, psychology, public policy, political science, or related fields. The position provides opportunities to participate in rigorous, quantitative research on human trafficking, as well as multiple co-authorship opportunities. The ideal candidate has a high degree of independence, is motivated, and is able to effectively manage relationships with partners. Proficiency with statistical software, some data science skills, and comfort with AI tools are essential. The successful candidate will also have excellent organizational skills, strong written and interpersonal communication skills, and a demonstrated interest in addressing social issues through data-driven research. Subject matter expertise in human trafficking or the broader human rights and international development field is preferred, but not necessary.
The postdoc will work in partnership with Principal Investigator Grant Miller (Stanford University School of Medicine) and other research team members, and will contribute to the development of RCT study design, participate in field research, conduct data analysis, and disseminate findings through academic publications and presentations. For more on the Lab's ongoing projects, see https://htdatalab.stanford.edu/projects/. The postdoc will be based at Stanford University in the Department of Health Policy.
